
Hackettstown man charged with DWI following crash in Mount Olive Twp.
MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Hackettstown man was arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge Sunday morning following a crash in Mount Olive Township, according to police.
The crash happened on February 27, at around 1:13 a.m., on Route 46 in the area of the Kia Dealership, police said.
During the accident investigation, an officer made contact with one of the drivers, who was identified as 63-year-old Luis R. Oyarce, police said.
Oyarce immediately showed signs of impairment due to alcohol and was then performed standard field sobriety tests. Upon completion of the tests, he was arrested and transported to police headquarters, police said.
Oyarce was charged with DWI, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lane. He was released to a sober driver pending a court appearance, police said.
