Hackettstown man struck, killed by car in Pennsylvania

PARADISE TOWNSHIP, PA (Monroe County) – A Hackettstown man is dead after he was struck and killed by a car in Pennsylvania Sunday afternoon, according to Pennsylvania state police.

The crash happened at around 12:07 p.m. on Paradise Valley Road south of Route 715 in Paradise Township, state police said.

According to state police, an 85-year-old Stroudsburg, PA woman was driving a 2012 Honda Accord when she struck Allan Johnson, 80, of Hackettstown.

Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said.

The Stroudsburg woman was not injured, state police said.

The cause of the crash was not released.
