Hackettstown, Mansfield police raise more than $1,700 with ‘Beards in Blue’ fundraiser
WARREN COUNTY, NJ – Hackettstown and Mansfield Police Departments raised $1,730 through their “Beards In Blue” Fundraiser.
The Hackettstown and Mansfield Police Officers put down their razors during November and grew facial hair to support The Joan Knechel Cancer Center at Atlantic Health System’s Hackettstown Medical Center.
In the last six years, they’ve raised nearly $15,000 for the Joan Knechel Cancer Center.
Their anti-shave campaign was meant to raise cancer awareness and encourage people to live healthy lives and get regular medical checkups. Cancer research and treatments are very costly, and we wanted to lend as much help as possible to those who are fighting for a cure.
Both departments thanked those who donated and they look forward to participating and raising more funds next year.
