Hackettstown mom charged with DWI after attempting to pick up her children in Mansfield Township

MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A 35-year-old Hackettstown mother is facing several charges including driving while intoxicated after she attempted to pick up her children in Mansfield Township.

On May 2, at 6:33 p.m., township police responded to the report of a custody dispute. The victim reported that his ex had arrived to pick up their children but was intoxicated so he refused to turn them over, police said.

An officer located the woman, whose name was not released, at the BP Gas Station on Route 57 with a flat tire after appearing to have struck a curb. She was determined to be intoxicated and was arrested, police said.

She was charged with DWI, reckless driving and failing to install an interlock device on her vehicle. She was released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance, police said.
