
Hackettstown police arrest 3 in connection to theft of trailer, lawn mowers
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Hackettstown police arrest three Pennsylvania residents in connection to a theft of a trailer and lawn mowers that occurred last year.
On Oct. 3, 2019, town police responded to 715 Willow Grove Street for a theft of a PJ 14-foot utility trailer that contained 2 Ferris walk behind mowers, police said.
The theft occurred on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019 at approximately 1:03 a.m. and the total amount stolen was approximately $11,650.00, police said.
Through a police investigation, it was determined Terry Lynn, 60, of Bath, PA, Brandon Russ, 35, on Nazareth, PA, and Philip Castner, 37, of Bath, PA were involved in the theft.
Lynn was charged on Jan. 28, 2020 with third-degree theft and conspiracy to commit theft. Terry was released pending a court appearance.
Castner was charged on Jan. 30, 2020 with third-degree theft and conspiracy to commit theft. He is currently lodged in the Monroe County Jail in Pennsylvania on unrelated charges and will be extradited to New Jersey.
Russ was charged on Jan. 30, 2020 with third-degree theft and conspiracy to commit theft. He is currently lodged in Lackawanna County Jail in Pennsylvania on unrelated charges and will be extradited to New Jersey.
Assisting with the investigation was the Pennsylvania State Police Auto Theft Task Force.
