
Hackettstown police release video of suspect in Friendly’s robbery
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Hackettstown police have released surveillance video of the alleged suspect that robbed the Friendly’s Restaurant in Hackettstown earlier this month.
The robbery occurred on Friday, Feb. 12, at around 9:42 p.m., at the restaurant located at 304 Mountain Avenue, police said.
The unknown suspect passed a note to the employee demanding money and reportedly had a gun but no gun was shown. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen, police said.
The male suspect was last seen wearing a black ski mask, aviator type sunglasses, an all blue Domino’s jacket (possibly windbreaker style) and dark pants, police said.
The surveillance video below shows the suspect at approximately 9:35 p.m., prior to the robbery, attempting to enter vehicles in the Mama’s Cafe Baci parking lot located at 260 Mountain Avenue. The time indicated on the video is approximately 15 minutes behind the actual time, police said.
Other surveillance video showed the suspect at approximately 9:42 p.m., after the robbery, running west on Shelley Drive towards Lawrence Drive and Mitchell Road, police said.
Police are asking residents in the area with surveillance cameras to check between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. for any suspicious people or vehicles.
