Hackettstown Police seek votes for Aftermath K-9 grant

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – The Hackettstown Police Department is asking for the support of the community by voting daily for their department in the Aftermath K-9 Grant competition.

The department’s K-9 unit, Ptl. Laver and K-9 Jada, was nominated and if they crack the top five most votes for a department, they will be awarded a grant ranging from $1,000-$5,000. There will also be two honorable mention awards in the amount of $500 each.

For 10 years, the Aftermath K-9 Grant has given back to police departments and first responder units across the country by awarding more than $100,000 in grants. These grants have allowed departments to purchase their very first K-9, to fund safety and training equipment, and to maintain existing K-9 programs. The Aftermath family is proud to support the local K-9s, officers, and first responders who keep our communities safe and protected, according to Aftermath’s website.

The community can vote for the Hackettstown Police Department once every 24 hours on the designated voting website and once daily on Instagram @AftermathK9Grant.

The grant voting period ends at 11:59 p.m. CST on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019.

The winning law enforcement agencies will be announced on Nov. 6.
