Handgun and marijuana found during traffic stop in Jefferson Twp.

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Two New York men are facing charges after police allegedly find a handgun and marijuana during a traffic stop in Jefferson Township.

On Dec. 30, 2019, an officer stopped a vehicle on Route 15 and during the stop, officers found a handgun and marijuana, police said.

Michael Marano, 19, of Brooklyn was charged unlawful possession of a handgun, hindering apprehension, and possession of marijuana.

Peter Pisciotta, 20, of Brooklyn, who was a passenger, was charged with possession of marijuana.

Pisciotta was released pending a court appearance and Marano was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a bail hearing.
