High river flows postpone trout stocking of the Passaic River and Middle Brook

NEW JERSEY – Due to high flows and out-of-bank conditions on the Passaic River in Morris and Somerset Counties, the trout stocking that was planned for Thursday, May 4, will be rescheduled for Tuesday, May 9, according to New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife officials.

On Tuesday May 9, the Passaic River will get it’s full allocation of fish from both of the scheduled trout stocking events.

Additionally, the stocking of Middle Brook has been rescheduled from Thursday, May 4, to Tuesday, May 9. Middle Brook will also receive its full allocation of fish.
