Hit-and-run driver sought in crash with school bus in Sussex County

SANDYSTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – Children escaped injury Friday morning in a hit-and-run involving a school bus.

The crash occurred on Jan. 26, at around 8:00 a.m., on Route 206 south near Stokes State Forest in Sandyston Township. The driver and students on the bus were not injured, according to a post on the Stocker Bus Company, Inc Facebook page.

A black pickup truck hit the bus on the way to school and then fled the scene, the post said.

Anyone with information on the driver of the pickup or you come across a black pickup that has damage to the passenger side, including a missing mirror, contact the New Jersey State Police at 973-383-1514.
