
Home health aide accused of stealing $710 from resident in Washington Twp.
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A home health aide is accused of stealing $710.00 from a resident in Washington Township.
Sandra Gonzalez, 53, of Paterson was charged with theft.
On May 7, at 12:40 p.m., officers responded to a private residence on Bartley Road in reference to theft of money, police said.
The officer spoke to the homeowner who advised that $710.00 was missing. A subsequent investigation by the officer along with the assistance of the homeowner found that the home health aide was allegedly responsible for the theft, police said.
The aide was identified as Gonzalez who was still on scene and found to be in possession of the missing money, police said.
Gonzalez was arrested and the later released pending a court appearance.
