Hometown Holiday event set for this weekend in Hackettstown

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – The annual Hackettstown Hometown Holiday event is set for this weekend.

The Hometown Holiday event will be held on Friday, Dec. 1 through Sunday, Dec. 3 in Hackettstown. The Hackettstown Parking Authority is providing free parking in all municipal parking lots and metered parking spaces for the weekend.

Hometown Holiday Events for Friday, December 1st from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.:

  • 5:00-9:00 pm CARRIAGE RIDES Centenary University 5pm-6pm AND a 2nd Pick up on the side of the Fire House; 5-9pm
  • 5:00–9:00pm Hackettstown Historical Society Open House with refreshments (106 Church St.)
  • 5:00–6:30pm Community Christmas Carol Sing a Long & Treats with the Grand Illumination of Seay Building (Centenary University, Seay Building)
  • 5:30pm Hackettstown High School Chorale Select Ensemble(Gazebo)
  • 6:00–9:00pm Holiday Bazaar Food & Shopping Tent(Behind Stella G’s)
  • 6:00-8:00pm Maryann McFadden Book Signing – The Christmas Star (Lulu’s Book Nook inside Me To You @ 206 Main St)
  • 6:00pm “The Tap Ladies” Holiday Dance (W. Moore Street)
  • 6:15-7:00pm Faith Center for the Arts A Cappella Choir (Holiday Bazaar Tent)
  • 6:15-7:00pm Hackettstown Community Band (193 Main St)
  • 6:30–7:00pm Colonial Musketeers Senior Corps(Berk’s Outlet Store, Main St.)
  • 7:00–7:30pm Santa Parade (Main Street @ Plane Street to Moore St)
  • 7:30pm Tree Lighting (Main & Moore St. Gazebo)
  • 7:45–9:00pm Santa Selfie Station with Kiwanis/Key Club Hot Chocolate and Cookies (Moore St. Fire House)
  • 7:45-8:15pm Colonial Musketeers Junior Corps (Gazebo)
  • 7:45-8:15pm Hackettstown High School Band (Moore Street by Stella G’s)
  • 7:45-9pm Trinity Church will be offering two offerings in Trinity House -Free Family Holiday Photo pictures (take a picture with the family for a your holiday card – green screen technology – pick your holiday background) Decorate your own Tree Ornament ($2.00 each)
  • 8:00pm Centenary Stage presents “The Little Mermaid” (Centenary Univ., Lackland Center, 715 Grand Ave.)
  •    Marley’s Food Truck!   
  • Free Pickles at Kilhaneys ( 173 Main Street)

According to the Hackettstown police, the following roads will be closed on Friday, December 1 for the Santa Parade:

  1. West Plane St between Washington St and Route 46 from approximately 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  2. West Moore St between Route 46 and Washington St from approximately 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  3. East Moore St between Route 46 and Sharp St from approximately 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  4. Route 46 between Route 517 (High St) and West Plane St from approximately 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Expect delays in the area and plan an alternate route, police said.

Hometown Holiday Events for Saturday, December 2nd from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.:

  • Visit Santa’s Wonderland at the Community Center, 293 Main Street, from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (partnered with the Hackettstown Rec)
  • Holiday Music on Main Street from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. all weekend-Shop, Dine and Drink locally with specials and activities through town.
  • 2pm Aries Moon Crystals (208 Main Street) Operatic Christmas with Greg Vionier
  • 2-4 PM-Maguire-Scala Memorial Home and Everitt House join together to help those in need. Meet the Grinch at Maguire-Scala Memorial Home. The Grinch has decided to leave Whoville for a couple of hours and help with our toy and food drive. Hot Chocolate will be served at Maguire-Scala.  Make a Christmas card for a senior with ART Stitution. All cards created will be delivered to our local nursing homes to spread holiday cheer. Please provide an unwrapped toy; all toys will go to local families here in Hackettstown.
  • 4:30-6:30 Christmas Music / Caroling, Hot Cider and sweet treats will be served on the front porch of Everitt House. They will be also be collecting non-perishable food items to support our local food pantry.

Hometown Holiday Events for Sunday, December 3rd from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.:

  • 12pm-5pm Pop up sale at Center Point Wellness(350 Willow Grove). Wellness & yoga inspired gifts along with gift cards.
