Hunterdon County Commissioners honor Maddalena’s Cheesecake and Catering on 40th anniversary

HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ – The Hunterdon County Board of Commissioners recently recognized Janet Maddalena of Maddalena’s Cheesecake and Catering, who has been a staple of Hunterdon County for 40 years.

Maddalena’s, now located at 415 Route 31 in Ringoes, originally opened their doors as a catering business in Flemington, they sold cheesecake to raise capital; with the owners Gene and Janet initially offering four flavors of cheesecake in April of 1982. Cheesecake sales quickly became a huge success.

Maddalena’s now offering 12 different flavors of Cheesecake including seasonal flavors.

Maddalena’s Cheesecake has become a household name in Hunterdon County over four decades and has been nationally recognized on the Food Network and Cooking Channel.

The Hunterdon County Board of County Commissioners extended its best wishes and congratulated Maddalena’s Cheesecake and Catering on the occasion of their 40th Anniversary.

Maddalena’s Cheesecake and Catering is emblematic of the strong small business community that exists in Hunterdon County which contributes greatly to the overall quality of life and local economy.
