Hunterdon County Commissioners renew Explore Hunterdon Comprehensive Tourism study

“Commissioner Soloway Reflects On The Ongoing Success of Effort”

HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ – The Hunterdon County Commissioner Board approved a contract with Brand Enchanting Media, for the 2024 Explore Hunterdon Comprehensive Tourism Marketing campaign, through the County Economic Development and Tourism Department.

The budget for the project is not to exceed $150,000 and is being funded entirely by the New Jersey Highlands Council.

Deputy Director Susan Soloway, who also serves as the liaison to the Department of Economic Development and Tourism said, “I am pleased to support this resolution before the Commissioner Board this evening, authorizing a contract award to Brand Enchanting Media, for the 2024 Explore Hunterdon Comprehensive Tourism Marketing Campaign. The ‘Explore Hunterdon’ marketing campaign continues to be greeted with much praise and support from residents and small businesses alike.”

Last year, the Department of Economic Development and Tourism issued a request for proposal, inviting qualified and innovative marketing and PR service providers to collaborate with the county to promote the ‘Explore Hunterdon, The Other Side Of Jersey’ tourism brand.

The primary objective was to seek imaginative and results driven marketing solutions to continue and broaden the effort to position Hunterdon County as a premier destination and create top-of-the-mind awareness of the Explore Hunterdon brand throughout New Jersey and the Northeast.

Marc Saluk, Director of the Economic Development and Tourism Department said, “Brand Enchanting Media was deemed the applicant most qualified to increase recognition and awareness of the Explore Hunterdon brand. The feeling is that they can help maximize the great work our team is already doing, while also charting new directions that we have yet to imagine. We are very excited about the prospect of starting work with Brand Enchanting Media on promoting the coming tourism season.”

In just two years, the Explore Hunterdon brand has experienced widespread recognition throughout the region, won awards, and developed a nice following that has increased commerce on main streets and for countless Hunterdon businesses.

“The County’s efforts have been instrumental in encouraging agri-tourism, the promotion of our vineyards and craft breweries, and our growing arts scene. Informing our own residents and visitors alike about all that Hunterdon County has to offer, is important to our economic sustainability, and maintaining and enhancing our existing farms, historic downtowns, and open spaces,” Soloway said.
