Hunterdon County GNC employee throws energy drinks at building because he was bored, police say

FLEMINGTON BOROUG, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Police in Flemington Borough arrested a GNC employee who they said threw expired energy drinks at the building causing damage because he was bored.

On Thursday, April 21, police responded to the GNC for a report of suspicious activity. Officers arrived and observed what appeared to be a purple energy drink in the middle of the parking lot as well as liquid all over the store front and damage to a wall, police said.

GNC employee Nicholas Tampano, 18, of Flemington allegedly told police that he was bored so he was throwing expired cans at the building, authorities said.

Tampano was subsequently arrested and charged with criminal mischief, improper behavior and littering. He was released pending a court apperneace, police said.
