Hunterdon County man accused of engaging in criminal sexual contact with a 13-year-old

LAMBERTVILLE CITY, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A 23-year-old Hunterdon County man is accused of engaging in criminal sexual contact with a 13-year-old, according to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson.

On May 31, Wayne S. Stangil Jr. of Ringoes engaged in criminal sexual contact with a 13-year-old, who was known to him, Robeson said.

Stangil was arrested and charged on July 8 with third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, Robeson said.

The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office’s Special Victims Unit and the Lambertville City Police Department conducted the investigation.
