Hunterdon County man accused of sexual assault of a child

READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A Hunterdon County was arrested Sunday on allegations of sexual assault of a child in Readington Township.

Jose Enrriques Vasquez, 23, of Readington Township was arrested and charged on Feb. 9 with one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and one count of fourth-degree lewdness, police said.

The victim was less than 13-years-old and it’s unknown if the victim was known to Vasquez.

The arrest was made on the same day the incident was reported. This is a validation of the teamwork which is often required when quick results are needed to ensure victims are safe, police said.
