Hunterdon County man charged with credit card fraud, theft

MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) -A Hunterdon County man is facing charges after he allegedly found a credit card in the Mansfield Township Walmart’s parking lot and used it to make a purchase, police said.

On Oct. 1, Shawn Nugent, 30, of High Bridge was charged with credit card fraud and theft of mislaid/lost property stemming from an incident at Walmart on Sept. 24, police said.

According to police, on Sept. 24, Nugent picked up the victim’s debit card in the Walmart parking lot and used it to purchase a Bluetooth speaker, police said.

Nugent was released pending a court appearance, police said.
