Hunterdon County man charged with distributing child pornography

HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ – A Hunterdon County is facing child pornography charges, according to Acting Hunterdon County Prosecutor Michael Williams.

Moiz Khan, 59,  of Whitehouse Station  was arrested and charged on Oct. 14 with one count of first-degree distribution of child pornography and one count of second-degree possession of child pornography, Williams said.

The charges stem from Khan’s alleged sharing on a social networking site blog that was open to the public images depicting children engaging in a prohibited sexual act; that site had over four million subscribers, Williams said.

Khan also allegedly possessed items depicting the sexual exploitation or abuse of a child, specifically by possessing over 1,000 but less than 100,000 images and over 40 videos that depict children engaging in prohibited sexual acts as well as children displayed in sexually suggestive manners, Williams said.

Khan was briefly detained at the Warren County Jail and has since been released pending trial, Williams said.

The investigation was conducted by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office’s Special Victims Unit, ICAC Task Force and Readington Township Police Department.
