Hunterdon County man secretly records person in intimate act, posts video on social media site, prosecutor says

CLINTON, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A Hunterdon County man was charged for allegedly recording someone in an intimate act and then posted the video on social media site without the victim’s knowledge or consent, acting Hunterdon County Prosecutor Michael J. Williams said.

On Aug. 28, Derek Howarth, 22, of Lebanon Township, was arrested and charged with one count of third-degree invasion of privacy, Williams said.

A joint investigation by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office’s Special Victims Unit and the Clinton Police Department led to the invasion of privacy charge.
