HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ – Enjoy an evening of music with friends and family! The Hunterdon County Division of Parks is excited to announce once again of its free concert series, “Music Under the Stars”, at the Deer
Path Park, beginning in June.

There will a series of five concerts for 2023, all held on Thursdays, from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.: June 29, July 13, July 20, July 27, August 3 and August 10. A complete list of the performing musicians can be found by clicking here.

Commissioner Director, Zach Rich expressed his excitement that summer concert time is approaching saying, “The annual ‘Music Under the Stars’ concert series brings together residents and families alike at Deer Path Park for some fun and free entertainment. I am grateful to Parks and Recreation Division Head, Dan Bush and his entire team for organizing these wonderful musical performances for our residents.”

The summer concert series is a family-oriented event, and residents are encouraged to bring friends, extended family, and their leashed pets, along with a blanket and lawn chairs. There are no food vendors at this event, so attendees are welcome to pack a picnic dinner and alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

Funding for the concert series is made possible by the Hunterdon Board of County Commissioners and the Hunterdon County Cultural & Heritage Commission, through proceeds from the Special Recreation Trust Fund.

County Division Head of Parks and Recreation, Dan Bush said, “We look forward to this concert series each summer. It is a great way to showcase Hunterdon County’s beautiful parks while listening to creative and fun music.”

“We are truly grateful to the Board of Commissioners and the Cultural & Heritage Commission for the continued support through the Special Recreation Trust Fund. Without this backing, successful events like this concert series could not take place. We look forward to a great summer of musical entertainment,” Bush said.

Weather permitting, all concerts will be held outside at the Deer Path Park location. Should weather conditions dictate that any events be moved indoors, concerts will be held at Hunterdon Central High School, 84 Route 31, in Flemington.
