I-78 eastbound lane closures for emergency bridge repairs in Hunterdon County

BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials Friday announced the right lane on I-78 eastbound will be closed this afternoon for emergency bridge repairs in Bethlehem Township.

Beginning at 3:0 p.m., Friday, Dec. 1, the right lane on I-78 eastbound is scheduled to be closed near the bridge over Turkey Hill Road (milepost 8.5) to past the bridge over Tunnel Road.

The closure is necessary for emergency concrete and joint repairs on the bridge over Tunnel Road in Bethlehem. At least two lanes will be maintained during construction.

The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.

Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website for construction updates and real-time travel information.
