I-80 daytime lane closures Monday and Tuesday for retaining wall field investigation in Knowlton Twp.

Expect possible congestion during the morning commute

KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials Friday announced lane closures on I-80 westbound before the S-curve are scheduled for next week.

On Monday, August 1 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., NJDOT will be closing the right lane on I-80 westbound just before the S-curve near mile post 0.8 through mile post 1.7. One lane will remain open.

On Tuesday, August 2 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., NJDOT will be closing the left lane on I-80 westbound just before the S-curve near mile post 0.8 through mile post 1.7. One lane will remain open.

The closures are necessary to conduct a field investigation as part of the Preliminary Engineering phase for an upcoming retaining wall project. Motorists are advised to slow down and use caution when driving through the work zone.

The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website for construction updates and real-time travel information.
