I-80 daytime lane closures next week for retaining wall survey work in Knowlton Twp.

Motorists advised to slow down and use caution in work zone

KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials announced lane closures on I-80 eastbound and westbound before the S-curve are scheduled for next week in Knowlton Township.

On Tuesday, August 9 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., NJDOT is scheduled to close the right lane on I-80 westbound just before the S-curve near mile post 1.7 through mile post 0.8. One lane will remain open.

On Wednesday, August 10 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., NJDOT is scheduled to close the right lane on I-80 eastbound just before the S-curve near mile post 0.8 through mile post 1.7. One lane will remain open.

This work may continue on Thursday, August 11 and Friday, August 12 if necessary.

The closures are needed to conduct survey work and to complete a field investigation as part of the Preliminary Engineering phase for an upcoming retaining wall project. Motorists are advised to slow down and use caution when driving through the work zone.
