I-80 daytime, night-time lane closures needed this week for upcoming projects in Knowlton Twp.

Motorists advised to slow down and use caution in work zone

KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials Monday announced overnight lane closures will continue this week on I-80 eastbound and westbound before the S-curve in Knowlton township.

I-80 Eastbound:

Tonight, Monday, September 19, and tomorrow night, Tuesday, September 20, from 9:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. each night, the right lane on I-80 eastbound just before the S-curve near mile post 0.77 through mile post 1.43 is scheduled to be closed. One lane will remain open.

During the day on Wednesday, September 21; Thursday, September 22; and Friday, September 23, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. each day, the right lane on I-80 eastbound just before the S-curve near mile post 0.77 through mile post 1.43 is scheduled to be closed. One lane will remain open.

I-80 Westbound

Tomorrow morning, Tuesday, September 20, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., the right lane on I-80 westbound just before the S-curve near mile post 1.45 through mile post 1.04 is scheduled to be closed. One lane will remain open.

Overnight on Wednesday, September 21; Thursday, September 22; Monday, September 26; and Tuesday, September 27, from 9:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. each night, the right lane on I-80 westbound just before the S-curve near mile post 1.7 through mile post 0.8 is scheduled to be closed. One lane will remain open.

The closures are needed to conduct soil borings and field investigations for upcoming projects. Motorists are advised to slow down and use caution when driving through the work zone.

The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website for construction updates and real-time travel information.
