I-80 eastbound daytime lane closure expected for Monday to complete drainage repairs in Knowlton Twp.

KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials announced the daytime closure on Monday, March 30 of the right lane on I-80 eastbound before the S-curve to complete priority drainage repairs in Knowlton Township.

From 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 30, the right lane on I-80 eastbound will be closed just before the S-curve to complete priority repairs to a drainage pipe underneath I-80 and inlets in the right shoulder near mile post 1.4. One lane will remain open during construction.

The repairs are necessary because of a separated drainpipe under I-80. Preliminary work began on Tuesday, March 24. If work is completed early, the road will reopen sooner. The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
