I-80 eastbound daytime lane closure next week for retaining wall field investigation in Knowlton Twp.
Expect possible congestion during the morning commute
KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials announced the right lane on I-80 eastbound before the S-curve is scheduled to be closed next week in Knowlton Township.
From Monday, July 11, and continuing daily through Friday, July 15, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., NJDOT
will be closing the right lane on I-80 eastbound just before the S-curve near mile post 0.8 through mile
post 1.4. One lane will remain open, officials said.
The closure is necessary to conduct a field investigation as part of the preliminary engineering phase for an upcoming retaining wall project. Motorists are advised to slow down and use caution when driving through the work zone, officials said.
The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website for construction updates and real-time travel information.
