I-80 eastbound lane and shoulder closures on Dec. 7 in Morris County

PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, NJ (Morris County) – I-80 eastbound is scheduled to have lane and shoulder closures Thursday morning for the start of drainage repairs at in Parsippany-Troy Hills.

From 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, the left lane and shoulder on I-80 eastbound are scheduled to be closed at milepost 41.8 to install construction barrier. When installation is complete, the left lane will reopen and the left shoulder will remain closed for approximately three weeks to replace a drainage pipe underneath the roadway.

All lanes of traffic will be maintained during construction. Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution, and expect delays.

The work is part of an $8.8 million state-funded maintenance project to repair stormwater facilities at various locations in eight counties throughout North Jersey.

The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website for real-time travel information
