I-80 eastbound lane closures begin Thursday for survey work in Hardwick and Knowlton Townships

Closure necessary for survey work

WARREN COUNTY, NJ – Interstate 80 eastbound is scheduled to have daytime lane closures beginning Thursday and continuing for two weeks in Hardwick Township and Knowlton Township for survey work.

Beginning on Thursday, June 8 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and continuing daily through Thursday, June 15 at the same times, one lane on I-80 eastbound is scheduled to be closed from milepost 0.5 after the exit ramp to River Road in Hardwick Township to mile post 1.5 before the Weigh Station/U-turn in Knowlton Township. No work will take place on Sunday, June 11.

One lane will remain open while the work is taking place. If work is completed early, the lane will reopen sooner.

Motorists are advised to slow down and use caution when driving through the work zone. The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.

Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website for construction updates and real-time travel information.
