I-80 eastbound overnight lane closures this week needed for soil boring in Knowlton Twp.

Motorists advised to slow down and use caution in work zone

KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials Monday announced the right lane on I-80 eastbound before the S-curve is scheduled to be closed overnight this week in Knowlton Township.

On Monday, September 12 from 9:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m., and continuing each night through Thursday, September 15, NJDOT is scheduled to close the right lane on I-80 eastbound just before the S-curve near mile post 0.8 through mile post 1.7. One lane will remain open. The closure is needed to conduct soil borings for an upcoming project.

Single lane closures will continue Monday through Thursday nights in both the eastbound and westbound direction for approximately three weeks.

The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website for construction updates and real-time travel information.
