I-80 westbound lane closure scheduled Thursday for barrier installation in Warren County

Right shoulder to remain closed for duration of the project

HARDWICK TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) has scheduled a closure of the right lane on I-80 westbound Thursday, Jan. 26 in Hardwick Township.

From 9:00 a.m. until 3;00 p.m., the right lane on I-80 westbound is scheduled to be closed after the Dunnfield Creek/Appalachian Trail parking lot near mile post 0.8.

The closure is necessary to install construction barrier in the shoulder to remove guiderail and create a work zone off the roadway to store construction materials. One lane will remain open while the barrier is being installed. If work is completed early, the lane will reopen sooner.

The right shoulder will remain closed for the duration of the project to make repairs to retaining wall panels.

Motorists are advised to slow down and use caution when driving through the work zone. The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.

Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website www.511nj.org for construction updates and real-time travel information.
