Independence Township Police Department deploys new radar speed trailer

INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – The Independence Township Police Department has added a new piece of equipment to assist in their efforts to combat excessive speeds on township roadways.

The new radar speed trailer will be placed in various locations throughout the township when police have concerns of vehicles traveling above the speed limits.

The trailer will not only monitor vehicle speed but compile data to determine the best times for police officers to take enforcement measures.

Anyone who resides in the township and wants to request the speed trailer on their street, contact the Independence Township police traffic officer at 908-852-4440.
