Kean co-sponsored resolution condemning antisemitism on college campuses passes House
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The H.Res 798 Thursday passed the House of Representatives in a bipartisan vote.
Representative Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07), co-sponsored this resolution condemning the support for Hamas, Hezbollah, and other terrorist organizations at American universities, which have created a hostile environment for Jewish students, faculty, and staff.
“I have received numerous calls from neighbors and constituents with fear in their voice, fearing for their child’s safety amid rising antisemitic acts on college campuses across the country,” Kean said. “Our universities should be places of enlightenment, diversity, and respect, where all students can thrive without fear of discrimination. Antisemitism has no place on our campuses or anywhere in our country – we must, as Americans, be a united voice against it.”
According to ADL preliminary data, antisemitic incidents have spiked 388% across the U.S. since Hamas’ October 7, 2023 terrorist attack on Israel.
