Kean constituent services returns over $1.1M to NJ-07 residents

NEW JERSEY – Representative Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) Wednesday announced that his casework team has returned more than $1,100,000 to constituents since taking office in January 2023.

This total represents 6 months of work on behalf of constituents who have contacted the office for prompt customer service when federal agencies were slow to deliver.

“We are just getting started,” Kean said. “My team and I have worked tirelessly to make sure families and individuals are getting the help they need from federal agencies. I will continue to work and fight for New Jerseyans.”

Since the office opened in January of 2023, Kean and his team have closed over 760 constituent cases, representing over $1,100,000.00 million dollars returned back to New Jerseyans in District 7. From the beginning of Congressman Kean’s term in office, Team Kean has closed close to 127 cases per month, helping constituents save money from the IRS, Social Security Administration, and other federal agencies. The top three groups of people served are seniors, veterans, and families.

Kean said he received the following message from an 85-year-old constituent after helping to resolve a 2+ year IRS issue that had a dramatic effect on his and his wife’s retirement: “My personal note of gratitude to your Office for the prompt and professional help in satisfactorily resolving a 2 year nightmare with the IRS. Excellent response from your Office.”
