
Kenvil woman caught with crack cocaine, heroin
PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, NJ (Morris County) – A Kenvil woman is facing several drug charges after she was allegedly in possession of crack cocaine and heroin in Parsippany.
Erica Smith-Menedez, 36, of Kenvil, a section of Roxbury Township, was charged with third-degree possession of crack cocaine, third-degree possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a hypodermic syringe for use with a controlled dangerous substance.
On March 26 at 10:21 p.m., an officer was conducting a property check at Wawa, located at 350 New Road, when the officer conducted a well-being check on an occupant of a vehicle, police said.
After a brief investigation, the passenger, Smith-Menedez, was placed under arrest for possession of suspected crack cocaine and heroin, police said.
Smith-Menedez was charged and released on her own recognizance pending a court date.
