Lambertville City tax assessor arrested for possessing child pornography

LAMBERTVILLE CITY, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A tax assessor in Lambertville City has been arrested for allegedly possessing child pornography, according to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson.

A cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (MCMEC) led to an investigation by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office’s Forensic Services Unit that resulted in the arrest of Richard Carmosino, 70, of Lambertville City, Robeson said.

Carmosino was arrested and charged on April 6 with one count of third-degree possession of child pornography. He is currently lodged in the Warren County Jail pending his first court appearence, Robeson said.

Carmosino is currently employed as the tax assessor in Lambertville City and the incident was not connected to his employment, Robeson said.
