Lane closures begin today on Route 22 in Lopatcong Township

LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials announced daily lane closures on Route 22 in both directions between Roseberry Street and where Route 22 and Route 57 split, as the Route 22 intersection improvements project at I-78 Logistics Park advances in Lopatcong Township.

Beginning at 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 18 until 3:00 p.m., the development contractor, Petillo Inc., will close a single right lane on Route 22 in both directions between Roseberry Street and where Route 22 and Route 57 split for sidewalk, underground electrical work, and concrete curb work.

The closures will continue daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for approximately eight weeks.

The Route 22 Intersection Improvements project at I-78 Logistics Park is a developer-funded and constructed project that redevelops an abandoned property into 4.2 million square feet of warehouse and logistics space. The project site is located adjacent to the intersection of Routes 57 and 22 in Warren County.

A second access-point improvement will widen Third Street to create a dedicated left turn and right turn lane onto Route 22 in both directions. This work is expected to begin this spring and be completed in 2020.
