Larval mosquito control operations to take place Monday in Morris County
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – With the aid of the New Jersey Mosquito Control Commission, Morris County Mosquito Control will be applying granular larvicide to the Passaic, Rockaway, and Whippany River flood plains with a helicopter on Monday.
The larval mosquito control operations are scheduled for June 7 between approximately 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Parts of the following towns will be treated:
- East Hanover
- Lincoln Park
- Montville
- Parsippany-Troy Hills
- Florham Park
- Chatham Township
- Chatham Borough
Mosquito larvae are the immature stage of the flying adult mosquito and the larval habitat is standing water. This operation will not be treating adult mosquitoes.
