
Larval mosquito control operations to take place today and Friday in Morris County
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – With the aid of the State Mosquito Control Commission, Morris County Mosquito Control will be applying granular larvicide to the Passaic, Rockaway, and Whippany River flood plains with a helicopter.
The larval mosquito control operations are scheduled for Thursday, April 14 from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday, April 15 from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. as necessary.
Parts of the following townships will be treated:
- East Hanover Township
- Lincoln Park Borough
- Montville Township
- Parsippany-Troy Hills
- Florham Park Borough
- Chatham Township
- Chatham Borough
Mosquito larvae are the immature stage of the flying adult mosquito and the larval habitat is standing water. This operation will not be treating adult mosquitoes.
