Larval mosquito control operations to take place today and Saturday in 8 Morris County towns
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – With the aid of the State Mosquito Control Commission, Morris County Mosquito Control will applying granular larvicide to the Passaic, Rockaway, and Whippany River flood plains with a helicopter.
The larval mosquito control operations are scheduled for Friday, June 30 and on Saturday, July 1 from approximately 8:00 a.m. until finished.
Parts of the following towns will be treated:
- Chatham
- Chatham Twp
- East Hanover
- Florham Park
- Hanover
- Lincoln Park
- Montville
- Parsippany
Mosquito larvae are the immature stage of the flying adult mosquito and the larval habitat is standing water. This operation will not be treating adult mosquitoes.
The product being used is VectoPrime FG.
