LGBTQ+ flag outside Sussex County church burned

SPARTA TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) —  Sparta Township police are investigating after a LGBTQ+ flag was burned outside a church, police said Thursday.

The LBGTQ+ flag was set on fire outside of the Sparta United Methodist Church, located at 71 Sparta Avenue, on April 20, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sparta Township Police Detective Steve Guido at 973-729-6121. All tips are anonymous.
