Liars and spiers: More than a third of New Jerseyans would spy on their other half

NEW JERSEY – New Jersey is among the states most likely to snoop on a partner who they suspect is cheating, with 33.8% of respondents admitting that they are guilty of spying on their partner.

That’s according to BonusFinder.com, who surveyed 5,000 Americans and uncovered the states that are most likely to spy on a partner and the most popular method for snooping.

People from New Jersey are most likely to track a partner’s location online, with 23.9% of respondents admitting to doing so. This is above the national average of 21.8%.

This intrusion extends to financial sleuthing, as 19.7% of respondents have confessed to checking their partner’s phone records/bills when they are suspicious of their behavior.

Claiming the third spot is the hands-on approach of checking their partner’s pockets and belongings, a behavior acknowledged by 18.3% of those keeping a watchful eye on their relationships.

A notable 14.8% of respondents openly admitted to checking their partner’s social media accounts. Moreover, an additional 12.7% of individuals have taken their suspicion to the next level by making unannounced appearances at their partner’s workplace or social events in an attempt to catch them in the act.

According to the survey, Alaskans lead the way in relationship snooping with 54.5% of respondents confessing to spying on their partners. According to the survey, Alaskans are most likely to track their location online (45.5%).

Following them is Vermont, with 44.4% of respondents emerging as relationship sleuths. Likewise, it seems online snooping is the most common method of investigating suspected infidelity with 33.3% tracking their partner’s location online.

In third place is Rhode Island with 43.8% spying on their partner to see if they are up to no good. According to the survey, 37.5% of respondents in Rhode Island stayed with a partner despite them cheating.

North Dakota respondents proudly declared a pristine track record, asserting that they have never resorted to spying on a suspected cheating partner. Followed by Utah with just 20.4% admitting to spying on a partner and West Virginia with only 25.9% admitting to snooping on a partner suspected of cheating.
