Local high schools in Warren County nominated for 2022 Freddy Awards

WARREN COUNTY, NJ – Local high schools in Warren County have been nominated for the annual Freddy Awards.

Phillipsburg High School was nominated for 9 Freddy Awards. Belvidere High School received 7, North Warren Regional High School received 4, Hackettstown High School received 3, and Warren Hills Regional High School received 1.

The FREDDY© Awards program is designed to recognize and reward exceptional accomplishments in the production and performance of musical theatre in local high schools. The 3-hour LIVE broadcast includes a stellar opening number, performances by nominated musicals, actors and actresses, and presentation of the 2019 FREDDY© Awards in 21 award categories.

The winners will be announced on a live broadcast on Thursday, May 26, at 7:00 p.m. on WFMZ-TV Channel 69 or stream at WFMZ.com.

Jay Edwards

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music. Jay has held numerous jobs over the years such as stunt car driver, bartender, voice-over artist, traffic reporter (award winning), NY Yankee maintenance crewmember and peanut farm worker. His hobbies include mountain climbing, snowmobiling, cooking, performing stand-up comedy and he is an avid squirrel watcher. Jay has been a guest on America’s Morning Headquarters,program on The Weather Channel, and was interviewed by Sam Champion.
