Longtime Hackettstown retailer to close after 60 years in business

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Home Towne Hardware will be closing its doors after decades in business.

“After 60 years of service to the Hackettstown Community and neighboring towns, Home Towne Hardware also know as Rockway Sales to our old timers, is closing its doors,” owners Stewart and Elaine Ginsberg said.

“We want to thank all our friends and customers for the privilege of being able to serve you for so long,” the Ginsbergs said.

“This has been exceptionally unusual and trying year to be in business. We did weather through the turbulence but not without some personal cost. It is time to say goodbye. This journey is over,” they said.

“We wish you a safe and healthy new year. May God bless you all,” said Stewart and Elaine Ginsberg, Russ Brown, Sean Beam and their dedicated staff.

Home Towne Hardware, which is located at 232 Main Street, will begin a clearance sale on Monday, January 18, 2021.
