Man, 41, struck and killed by vehicle driven by family member in Somerset County

HILLSBOROUGH TOWNSHIP, NJ (Somerset County) – Authorities are investigating the death of a man after he was struck by a family member with a vehicle at his Hillsborough Township residence early Saturday morning, according to Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald.

On Feb. 25, at around 2:28 a.m., police and Emergency Medical Services responded to a residence on Clark Lane in response to a 9-1-1 call. A 41-year-old Hillsborough Township man, who authorities are not identifying, was struck by a vehicle driven by a family member, and was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene, McDonald said.

The death remains under investigation by detectives pending an autopsy and toxicology report from the New Jersey Northern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office and the results of the Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team’s findings, McDonald said.

“No criminal charges have been filed at this time,” McDonald said.
