Man, 72, airlifted after head-on crash with tractor-trailer on Route 31 in Hunterdon County

GLEN GARDNER, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A 72-year-old Somerset County man was airlifted after a head-on crash with a tractor-trailer on Route 31 Wednesday afternoon, according to New Jersey State Police Sergeant Alejandro Goez

According to Goez, a Chevrolet Malibu, driven by John Post Jr., 72, of Somerville, and a tractor trailer collided head-on at around 2:13 p.m. in the area of 2160 Route 31 in Glen Gardner.

Post suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured, Goez said.

The accident remains under investigation, Goez said.
