Man accidentally shoots himself in leg with a bow in Hunterdon County

KINGWOOD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A 55-year-old man accidentally shot himself in the leg with a bow Thursday afternoon in Hunterdon County, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Detective Jeffrey Lebron.

Troopers responded to a medical assist at 3:56 p.m. on Horseshoe Bend R oad in Kingwood Township, Lebron said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that the Frenchtown Borough man accidentally shot himself in the leg with a bow, Lebron said.

He was then transported to an area hospital for treatment, Lebron said.

No additional information was available.
