Man accidentally shoots himself in the foot in Warren County, state police say

KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A Pennsylvania man was taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon after accidentally shooting himself in the foot while unloading a gun, according to New Jersey State Police Sergeant Alejandro Goez.

The incident happened at 3:25 p.m. at the intersection of Route 46 and Ramseyburg Road in Knowlton Township, Goez said.

According to Goez, a 22-year-old Bensalem man was unloading a gun that accidentally discharged during the process and struck his foot.

No charges were filed at this time but the incident remains under investigation, Goez said.
