Man accused of damaging door, punching electronic ordering kiosk at Hackettstown McDonald’s

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A Hackettstown man has been charged after police said he damaged a door and punched an electronic ordering kiosk Friday afternoon at the Hackettstown McDonald’s.

On June 11, at around 3:06 p.m., police responded to McDonald’s, located at 202 Mountain Avenue, in reference to a disorderly male inside the restaurant. When officers were responding, the man was then reported to be outside running around the building, police said.

Through a police investigation, it was determined that Michael Garcia, 19, allegedly damaged the stainless-steel door below a drink dispensary and then jumped up and sat on the ordering counter. While he was leaving the restaurant, he punched the electronic ordering kiosk, police said.

Garcia was then transported by Hackettstown Rescue Squad to Hackettstown Medical Center. He was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. He was released pending a court appearance, police said.
