Man accused of driving wrong way on Route 22 in Readington Twp charged with DWI

READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A Hunterdon County man accused of driving the wrong way on Route 22 in Readington Township now faces DWI and related charges.

Oliverio Cuquej-Chun, 26, from Flemington was charged with DWI, refusal to submit to breath testing, driving the wrong way on a one way street, being an unlicensed driver, and reckless driving.

On Sept. 4 at 11:07 p.m., Cuquej-Chun was allegedly observed driving the wrong way on Route 22 and driving in the opposing lane on Main Street in Whitehouse Station, police said.

Cuquej-Chun allegedly displayed indicators of impairment and subsequently failed sobriety tests, police said.

Cuquej-Chun was charged and later released to a family member.
